They Call Me Freckles

Ok it's Mothers Day and its pouring outside and what do I want to do :)
GEOCAHE of course!
So I pack up 3 kids and head out. Reminding them that they need to put some hoodies on cause you know its raining..lol

I gathered 3 of them at Long Lake. Been going to this lake since I was a
little kid. So it was a joy to do some geocaching here.


Had to cover the GPS today..


Paige looking at me like "Mom it's freaking raining are you serious"..lol

Now see we all go running to this bridge like it's going to be there or something.
We all know that bridges are like the key place to hide geo's. Well not this time. We actually looked at the GPS and we were still way off.. good gravy!


Now we arrive at the RIGHT location..lol

Aidan's Treasure Box

This is the second one we did this wonderful rainy day :)
Keshia leads us on this adventure.


At this point we start doing silly things while searching. We have to keep spice
in this. Either that it's a easy way to entertain the kids.
I told Fawyn I would give her a buck if she licked the horseshoe pole.
Guess what.. lol..

Then of course we all had to do it.. geez


I don't know what it is, but my girls like odd trees. Paige seen this bent tiny thin tree and had to pose for a picture.


Fawyn loved this pink tree and had to have a picture also.

Maybe this puts a whole new meaning to tree huggers.. lol

After all this I found it .. woohooo !!


I took a travel bug from this cache. First time I ever did that. It just wants to travel from cache to cache. His name is Sam.
When I got home I logged that I picked it up. Come to find out it was my dads. Wow how about that. First time I do it and it turns out to be families.. geez talk about luck.. :)

A Peaceful Place in the Park

This one is the third one we did at Long Lake. It was on the other side of the lake.
Now when I come to this area all I can remember is when my brother went out to a picnic table that was in the water and wanted to dive off it. He tried to talk me into going
out there and I attempted it, but weeds or SOMETHING touched my foot and that was
when I learned to walk on water to get my ass out of there.. lol

Keshia decided she had enough of the rain and sat this one out. :(

The start of the path to geo. It was so peaceful, just like the title says.
Kind of creepy with the rain and no kritter sounds going on.. :O


I really can't tell what that face of Fawyns was all about. I do know
it was raining pretty steady at the time..lol


It didn't take long and Fawyn found it.


But no that wasn't the end of the adventure. Paige was convinced there was a
alligator in the water. She seen a piece of DRIFT WOOD in the water that looked
like a tail.. It was funny as hell, cause she kept throwing things in the water to see if it would move.. of course me and Fawyn are laughing our butts off. We kept
telling her to go down and have a closer look.. lol

C.S. Park & Ride

Last one of the day. This one was in my home town. I always passed the car pool and said you know I'm surprised there isn't a geo in there yet. Hmm.. well there is now :)

Fawyn and Keshia both sat this one out. Geez it's just rain :)



So me and Paige the die hards trek on to find the last one of the day.


Now see Paige is a hard player. She runs to where she thinks it might be.
She swore it was in this tree. Well she got stuck up in there and was yelling out, Mom I'm stuck come get me. I yell back, hey I'm looking for a geo here..lol
I found it and she moped all the way back to the car. Saying geez you could have gotten me out of the tree. I'm like what and miss out on finding the geo first..lmao

Duck, Duck, Goose

And we are talking about alot of freaking Geese here.
I don't think I seen so much goose shit in my life..lol

Was on the East side of the state today and thought I would
do one by where I was staying.



FOUND IT!

At the Crossing Again

Pretty cool bridge. Passed under it several times in my life. Who'd have thunk
that there would be a geo on it. Now this cache was a bit tricky to find. I can just image what the people passing under it was thinking when they seen some chick on
her hands and knees feeling the bridge up.. lol



Brought along Paige, Devon and Tracy today.

Play Ball

Yep there was a small ball game going on when we were hunting for this one.

I gave Devon the GPS.. I don't know what I was thinking..lol
But she had fun.


Laughs at myself. They hate when I just take pictures of them trying to find
the cache. They say they turn out shitty. Well who cares I caught you in a moment..lol

Of course after this cache they were starving. When isn't Paige starving.. :)

Loads of Fun

Pretty simple cache to find. I have to admit though its pretty darn
chilly outside today. Tracy is the only one whineing of course.. lol
