PB-2 River Walk

This is a 10 stage cache. Now don't ask me what ever made me ask Tracy to do this one today. Usually we get family memebers together to do a big one like this.
We did it anyways and found every single one. I only had to call the owners on Stage 4. Thank goodness cause we would have never have found it.

Now you know I love showing pictures, but I'm not going to on Stage 9 cause that really has to be found by true geocachers. It's amazing and I hate to give it away here. Lets just say it scared the hell out of Tracy and she had me going to on it.

You know what really had me going for awhile, was the lack of nature. Usually we see all kinds of critters when we do geo's out in the woods. It wasn't until the last 2 stages that we heard or seen anything. And of course being jolted from stage 9, we heard everything in the woods then..lol

This was truelly an amazing geo adventure. I really look forward to doing Photo bugs hides again!!
----------------------
I'm going to skip over stage 1 also..

HERE IS US GOING IN>>>

SOME PICTURES OF THE MUSKEGON RIVER..

STAGE 2..

STAGE 3..

STAGE 4.. which we got stuck on for about a hour. "Tool" got us stumped. We were
to use that arrow as a tool.. ya well we didn't have a clue. We had to call at this point in the game.

STAGE 5..

STAGE 6.. (and a rest for me)

STAGE 7..

STAGE 8..(and a weird tree)

STAGE 9..(sorry can't show pictures for this stage)

It's Posted

This is the second one we worked on while in Farmington Hills.
Now I will never understand why I park the car at places I do. Of course you don't relize till after

the cache is done that you could have parked way closer.. good gravy!

This microcache is hidden in a small park at the corner of Eleven Mile and Middlebelt.

Yes is was small and on the corner just like they said, that's why I couldn't figure out where to park.

Of course the obvious answer was across the street..lol

The creek that runs through this park was pretty cool. I know I'm very easy to amuse at times. But it was the first running water I seen after winter. :)

It was a easy find and a clever place to hide it!

M Cubed Museum

We did these next two geos in Farmington Hills. This cache was amazing to the eyes.
It's a virtual cache, which means there is no box of goodies at the end to find. We had clues that was had to find in this building, get the answers, then email them to the owner of the cache.

It took all I had in me not to spend lots of money in this place!! But money couldn't buy the sites that I seen in this place.
I know I'm not being to detailed on what I saw, only cause it is a virtual cache and seeing things in there and saying what they are would give it away to the next cacher that might read this post.

I will say though that its a place full of old games and circus things. And they work!! You can
actually play with everything in there.
After doing this cache, we seen on t.v. later that night a documentary on it. We was like OMG we was just there today. So that shows you how important and amazing this place really is.
I'm pretty sure half of the people that live in Farmington Hills has been there, but me being a out of towner that has never been there this was amazing to see.

I do have a couple pictures of the place. You'll have to click on the picture to probably see it better. The two answers that are needed in this cache are not pictured below, sorry! Have to play fair here!!

Trail To Eagle-Citizenship In The Nation

The second one we did in Madison Heights while visiting here.
Apparently the person that made this geo has several other ones sorta related
to each other. Here is a few words taken from the cache page.

Second in a series of 12 caches representing the required Merit Badges that a boy must earn on his way to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest rank that a youth can earn in the Scouting program. When all 12 caches have been placed we will have a permanent Travel Bug that you can discover to complete your Eagle Project.
By the time a boy earns the Citizenship In The Nation merit badge he is knowledgeable about:
*Declaration of Independence
*Preamble to the Constitution
*The ConstitutionBill of Rights
*Amendments to the Constitution
*His elected representatives (Congressman, Senator, etc.)
*The branches of the Federal Government and their functions
*What it means to be a good citizen

Initial cache contents are various items that could be associated with patriotism.
Pretty cool huh? I really like when caches have a meaning behind them.

I really didn't take to many pictures of this one, but we did find it!!

Shooting Star

Well I happen to be visiting Madison Heights in Detroit and thought I would do a couple geocaches while the great weather prevailed.

This cache was a tricky one. I looked in the obvious spots and was even on my hands and knees digging

around a bit. Well it just wasn't there. So I stepped back and looked and put my geo thinking cap on. Then it dawned on me. Once I started looking standing up I found it!! I do love these ones. I did another one similiar to this one before.

Well I signed the log book and put a micro sig card in it and patted my back that I found it and headed out to do another one in the area.

2007 Winter Social West

This one is a 3 stager. How I talked Tracy into doing this one today I don't know.
Considering our feet were soaked and we were just starting to get cold.
This one is located in Howard City at a park that we always pass. The Bridge is always a eye cather. Of course I didn't get a very good picture of it. It doesn't matter cause the summer time would be the best time for pictures at this park. So you can see the little river that runs under the Bridge.

Tracy did very well finding the first 2 stages. But I told her I was finding the final. She laughed and said ya ya, we'll see.. guess what...

Yep you guessed it.. I found it!!

Pooh's Hundred Acre Woods

This was our second cache of the day. Pretty much in the same area as the Shaft one below.
Now this one got our legs burning. It's been awhile since we walked around in the woods.
It was a easy find though. Once again the pictures are blurry do to my dumb ass not setting the camera right.. good gravy.

Sucks we didn't come across any Heffalumps!! :)

Old Abandoned Mining Shaft

What a great day to go out cacheing. A wee bit to much snow on the ground still, but we ventured out anyways.
We started out with this one. Now we looked and looked for something that
looked like a mining shaft. I'm pretty sure Tracy was looking in the right place as far as that goes. To me it looked more like a old ground level tree house. But I wasn't the one over there looking, I was zeroing down on the cache, which of course I found!!!
(the pictures suck, cause I had the camera on the wrong setting, but it will do)

New & Used

Well I decided that we would finally do a geocache in the winter.
It looked nice out until you stepped out of the car.. good grief!!!
We about got blown away.
The store was closed when we went. It sucked cause that was some of the reason
we wanted to do this one is to check out the store. By the looks of others logs on this cache it seems to be closed alot. Hopefully this summer it will be open to check out.

FOUND IT!!

A Legend is Born

Well this cache was fun to try. It took 3 attempts to finally get it done, with 3 sets of different people..
The first attempt was with Fawyn and her 2 sisters. We got to stage 1 and found it, but it was obvious we didn't have the right coords. So when we got home I asked for a hint from the owners. I just had the first few numbers wrong..

Then a few days later Fawyn and her boyfriend and I went out to track down stage 2.
We freaking searched and searched the area. I usually do extra looking and go over the kids area of looking, but this time I didn't. Fawyn I thought had that one area pretty well covered.
Well we just couldn't find it.

So about a week later Tracy and I go out. Which I always grab Tracy when I'm stuck on a cache... I think I have giving her a big head on the situation, but she does find them thats for sure.

I went right to stage 2 when we started looking for it. I went over to where Fawyn was looking that day and there it was. I think its cause she was paying more attention to her boyfriend then the cache..lol

Then we were off to stage 3. Now after this one I will never think that .43 is close enough to walk to..
We did this up hill climb along a fence just to find out that it was on the other side
of John Ball Park... So we climbed back down the hill and I fell and slide down it..sheesh

So we drive over to the zoo area and take these steps up up up and freaking more up to the area of the cache. I'm telling ya, I really need to stop smoking, I didn't think I was going to make that climb.
There was a few sites to see while we were there though.

But we did, or I should say Tracy did find the cache!! It was well worth the 3 attempts to find it..

English Hills Park Cache

Almost right around the corner from me. Never knew this park existed.
Took the girls on one more geo adventure before taking them home. Of course
they had to play on the playground first..
