Out on a Limb

Wow these people are just evil..lol
This cache took me a while to find and then I still don't know how the hell I found it.
Pure luck is what it was. I just happen to look up at the right time I guess.

So many hiding places for such a little tiny ammo box! It was worth it though. Another one down and 5 million to go.. :)

I have been to this park before for another geocache that was in here. Me and my oldest daughter loved it. As I'm passing the playground, fond memories came to mind.
I have always had this park saved in my gps just cause of those memories.

I found this sign amusing.

Going in.. this is when a gps hates you!

Found it!

Fall is here

Yes indeed fall is here. The leaves aren't multi colored yet, but soon.
This was another cache along the White Pine Trail. This one located in Comstock Park.
Easy 2 stage. Lots of people out running and riding bikes on the trail today. Had to watch what I was doing carefully!

Start of the trail-

ROCKford

Started my day geocaching. I accomplished 5 of them.. woohooo. This one was my first stop of the day in Rockford. Anything to do with the damn and water with Rockford and caching is always a plus. It's just a beautiful place to hang out at.

The start of the trail. Never knew it existed, but now I do and can show
it to the other half as a great place to go fishing!

A brief stop to take some pictures of the river.

Now onto finding the geocache~

FOUND IT..

Boomer Park

Second one of the day! Located in Cedar Springs.

Once again never knew this park existed when I lived in Cedar all my life.. good gravy. Ok maybe when I lived in cedar other things were more important, like boys..lol
This was a quick easy find.

Found it..(not in the bushes like I thought though.. Had to put my thinking "cap" on)

End Zone "Guard"

3rd one of the day. Also located in Cedar Springs.
Now this one was almost a "Did not Find". Damn it took me forever to find this one.
I had the clue but it just wasn't clicking in the old brain for some reason. Then I went back to the van and sat there thinking do I look for another 15 mins or not. I said heck with it and went back. Found right away. Slick, I'm telling ya. I love it.
Look at the guard rails, well there is big bolts in them. Well one of them was fake. It was still in the hole it was suppose to be, but attached to it was the cache. Shaking my head as I'm typing this thinking of how clever it was.

Is that a face of flustration or what.. lol

White Pine Trail-Sand Lake

Now see when I woke up this morning this one and the next one in Pierson were "not found yet" caches. I thought, oh oh oh I'm on my way that way today so maybe I'll be lucky and they will be my "First to Find" caches.. Sighs.. nope someone beat me to them last night. I was second to find though.. I'm getting closer!
Only 2 pictures of this one. It was found quickly so no time to take any. This was the 4th one I found today.

White Pine Trail-Pierson

5th and final find today. Ran into fellow cachers on the trail to this one. They also thought they were going to be "First to Find".. but I was second and they were third. Pretty easy find!

Green little Kritter on the way to the cache.. There were tons of frogs on the trail. It took everything I had not to step on them and smoosh them. Now of course memories were coming back to me of when I was living with my parents as a kid and had to mow the yard, I would run over these frogs all the time.. Not a pretty sight.
Right along with all the gardner snakes also.. good gravy!

Found it.. but did you doubt me..lol

Bump, Set, Spike

I think I really am a glunting for punishment. I swear it never fails that I take the hardest way to find a geo. When I got to it there was a open field about 2 or 3 ft from the cache I could have taken. But no not me. I bushwacked my way to it...

Ya this is the volleyball field right next to the cache.. It would have been so much easier..lol

GPS Check Time-Pure Evil

OH YOU BET YOUR SWEET ASS THIS WAS PURE EVIL!!!
Me and my daughter and her friend tried to find this cache back in June. We were all over that baseball field. In the bushes, fences, playground, trashcans..etc. We even found two head stones
on the west side of the field in the bushes. Creepy! We just could not find it for nothing.

Then I started reading the logs on this cache today and some people said it was pretty easy to find now that the grass was short and dead. I thought ok let's give this another try. I went right to were the gps narrowed down to and it was right in the middle of the baseball field. Mind you there is nothing there but air..lol. But I read a log that said they got on their hands and knees and started looking. So that's what I did, right there in the open field. I often wonder when you find yourself in these positions if anyone is watching you wondering what the hell your doing. "Yes, 911 there is a crazy white lady on her hands and knees in the middle of the field, should I approach with caution?"..lol

I found it and I'm telling you the cache owner is evil.. It was a copper tube about the size of a pen buried in the ground. It was hollow and had a metal thin rod in it with the log book wrapped around it. Ya, ummm ya .... awesome!!!!
So I got this cache off my "did not find list".. after 3 months. Happy, happy, joy joy!!!!

Playing around:

The headstone we found:

The field with the evil cache..lol:

Found it.. I'm looking all sorts of hot and tired:

A Trubute to Hotdog

Nice little place to remember over by Belmont! I felt bad going through the bushes and stuff looking for the cache. Just like going to cemetarys and a cache might be close to a grave.

Invissible Ink

This cache has been on my to-do-list for awhile. The first stage was blank paper with the cords written on it with onion juice. You had to figure out how to get the invisible onion juice to appear. It took awhile. I hint from someone off another board and google were my friends. So I found stage one and took my lighter and heated it under the paper, what should appear but the numbers..woohooo!

Stage one:
I did block the numbers so other fellow cachers would have to do it themselves.

Found the final stage:
