Sparta Library Park Cache

Awesome little park. Of course Sparta is pretty decorative anyways.
Took us awhile to find this one. It didn't say how many stages it was online, so we were guessing through it all. The gps had us all over the place for the second stage.
But we prevailed and found all 3 stages.

The blue bridge the first stage is on..

It's on there do you see it...lol

Bobby messing around trying to find it under the bridge..

Fawyn looking for stage 2..

Cling Ons helping me on stage 2..

Stage 2 is on there somewhere...lol

Awesome sculpture near by..

I found it :)

Posing for pictures!

Very easy grab! Ok well it was easy after we figured out what to unscrew.
It says not to mess with the pipes, but did we listen.. Then we found it and duh'ed ourselves..

Bob found it..

Fish'n Time

Been to this lake several times when I was a teenager. Making out spot, skinny dipping spot, get drunk spot... oh the memories!!!
Easy cache to find.. It was starting to get dark out so we were happy that it was fairly easy. That and there was hunters around.

Bob found it..

Old Orchard

Heading home cause it was dark out, but we stopped at one more.
Thank god this one was easy also. We didn't have a flash light with us so we wouldn't
have been able to find anything other wise.

Fawyn found it..

Pioneer Cache

Once again we were on this side of town running errands and we stopped to do this one. We just caught the guy closing the gate to get in. So we walked to the area. It was a bit chilly today, but never to chilly to geocache.. :)
Found the trail fine. Tripped over a couple tree stubs. They could cut them down just a bit more considering its a trail..lol.. geez! I mean come one you get laughed at when you trip over something that don't seem to be there.. (lol to self) Cause I did laugh at Bobby when he did it then 3 seconds later I did it..

Anyway Bobby found the cache. It was in pretty rough shape. Everything in it was wet. The log book was full and soggy. But we found it damn it.. :)

Did one at the Center before way back when. They have awesome trails in Blanford Nature Center. One of them looks like a roller coaster..We plan on visiting here again in the summer.

He found it!

Fucking around on the trails...

Mendoza Survival Kit

Was on this side of town and thought we would stop and try this one. Pretty pond that was in the area. We went around the wrong way and Bobby jumped over the little waterfall. Of course my old ass said no way and went around. Cause my luck I would have gone down with the flow..LOL.. I know go ahead and laugh with that visual :)

It took us awhile to find this one. So many possible hiding places. Then I spied this huge ass tree and told Bobby wow that tree has to be really old. So I was checking it out and bingo I looked just in the right place and found the cache. Tiny little sucker in such a huge position. Awesome!

And they say white boys can't jump..lol

I found it..

FC- LaGrande Vitesse

This is another cache that people probably thought we were absolutely freaking nuts!
Mind you this is down town Grand Rapids off Monroe or Ionia I forget, but a very busy street place non the less..lol
We thought it might be in the mini trees right there, so we get on our hands and knees looking for it. I mean how many people get on their hands and knees down town..lol.. ok don't answer that. At least we gave someone something to talk about that day. Or watch!! It wasn't in the tree area after all that...LOL
WZZM news team did this geo!

And this is why I'm glad I have the camera most of the time so I don't get
caught in postions like this!!!

Found it!

Grand Rapids Gage Station

This a Earth Cache. Meaning its just history on a part of Grand Rapids. This one is at a gageing station. I did a couple other ones like this. A Gaging Station is used to measure the Discharge of the Grand River and the Height and probably many other things.
With this cache we had to take a picture by the Station and also figure out how many feet was from the river to the walk way. Also go the Gage Station website and figure out how how the river was that day we were there and how fast the river was flowing.
We just went to a Earth Cache 101 meeting to learn about Earth Caches. Pretty interesting!

Nice Grand Rapids view..

Dead End Cache

This is one of 3 we did in Cedar Springs today. I've had this one on my list for awhile cause it was out in the country. Suppose to be a big ammo can and it was. Those are always cool to find. Usually stuffed full of goodies. This one not so much but it was cool anyways.

Bobby looking all geeked to geocache!

He found it! Pretty big ammo box!!

Took a couple travel bugs out of there to move along...

Howard's Nature

Second one in Cedar we did today. I have been to Howard Nature center before. This was on the back side. Not as pretty as going through the actually trails of the center, but this trail was pretty as hell with the changing leafs going on. Quiet as hell to!
Took us a bit to find this one cause the gps doesn't like being covered by nature..lol

Awesome trail to the cache. Of course the picture doesn't do it justice..

Bobby among the think of it all..

But he found it!

Lime Lake

Of course no fishing pole. You know we now have 2 fishing poles and tackle box in the van. I finally had it. Have gone to to many caches at lakes and no way of fishing.
This one took us forever to find. Very out in the open more or less, just very well camouflaged. We just about gave up when I happen to look down and there is was. I know someone mentioned in a log they couldn't find it, but we were in the area and said what the hell and I'm glad we did :)
