Benchmark NF0662

I decided today was the day to try to find a benchmark. This is the information
on this one.

Documented History (by the NGS)
1/1/1934 by CGS (MONUMENTED)
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 AT FULLER. AT FULLER, KENT COUNTY, ON THE CHESAPEAKE AND OHIO RAILWAY, 70 YARDS SOUTH OF THE GRAND TRUNK WESTERN RAILROAD, AT THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD BRIDGE OVER A CREEK, IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE CAPSTONE AT THE EAST END OF THE CENTER PIER, 4 FEET EAST OF THE EAST RAIL, AND 3-1/2 FEET LOWER THAN THE TOP OF THE RAIL. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED N 97 1934.

I have been to this area several times so I knew the place exactly. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. I mean I had a idea but you know..lol

To the bridge I know...

See there across the way.. that's where I need to be..

I went on the bridge I'm use to and the gps said I was still like 30 some feet
from it and it was across the way. Now when I was here before I didn't notice the other bridge. It's hidden a bit so that's probably why. So I re-routed myself and
bushwacked my way to where I was assuming the way was to the bridge. I was right.
Now stepping on the old rails was a bit scary cause you know damn well they are old!!
Then I have the camera and the gps and my phone all at one time and I have to climb down off the tracks onto a cement slab to get a picture of it. All I could think climbing down is oh god let me get back up and please don't let me drop anything into the water.. Regardless it was fun!
I looked around a bit and bingo I found it. I was so excited. I know it don't take much..lol

Don't Cha?

This one is over by the recycling plant that I seem to go to at least
3 times a week. So I always check to see if there is new caches over by there and bingo today there was.
At SHOWGIRLS.. go figure..lol On the side where the recycling place is it looks like a big old warehouse. They even have inside parking now so you know wives don't see their hubbys hanging out at showgirls. :)

Found it!

Twenty Four

Another one close to home. Now see the way they describe this one I thought
I was going to be going under like part of a highway and it was trashy and really hard to find. Now they did leave a hint to bring a flash light. Thank goodness I did cause
I would have never found it. It wasn't a bridge but a tunnel. Been in a few of these around town. I think they are pretty cool. Lots of things go through your head when your in one. Like getting attacked, who comes in here to do drugs, do homeless people ever find this as a way to stay warm in the winter.. so on.

Paige looking like she really don't want to go in there..

The Tunnel..

Found it.

Looking all sorts of mean..

Taken off the site:

This puzzle cache will take you to Belknap Park, a multi use park in the city of Grand Rapids. The coords listed above are for the statue of Charles Belknap, esteemed business and community leader, for whom the park is named. Take a minute if you have the time and read about all his accomplishments. Parking can be found close by.

This park features tennis courts, ball diamonds, and Griff's Ice House. A small pile of "snow" can be found here year round, courtesy of the Zamboni. It's also the site of a very large and unusual sculpture by Robert Morris called "Earthwork". Locals affectionately call it the "Big X".

You will need to translate the information below to find the coords to the cache. You are looking for a small lock-n-lock that will accommodate small trade items. The area will occasionally be very muggle intense- winter and summer. The cache may be hard to find/retrieve in winter. The park closes at sunset.

Had to use the phone to get this one. The letters are the numbers
off the phone which will take you to the cache. Cool huh!

I'm just glad it wasn't up this hill..

Found it.. But you know I kind of knew where it was cause they
have a picture on the site with some kids that found it and well the pole
kind of gave it away.. lol

A Grand View 4

The person that is doing these caches have a series of them. They are pretty damn
cool to tell you the truth. Each one is a look out of Grand Rapids.
I have done 2 of them thus far. Tried another one and still can't find it, but I
will dang it..LOL

I found it. Now this cache was considered a nano. Which I found out is extremely small. About the size of a horse pill..

A Grand View 2

This is the third one of the day. Second one on the Grand series. Pretty cool view of the express way and buildings. It seems no matter where you look in Grand Rapids they are working on a building. Does this town ever stop building.. sheesh!

Tracy found this one..

A quick find today. It was located at church. Sometimes I don't get

Crypro Revealed

Decided to take my soon to be sister-inlaw out for a geo cache adventure. Let me tell
you it was.. We decided to wait until it stopped raining. Now if I would have had a clue it was thick woods we were in I would have brought a case of bug spray..lol
The mosquitoes were deadly mad for blood after the rain.

We did two of them in this thickness today and left with lots of tiny reds
spots all over us. I asked Roberta if she still wanted to ever go with us again and
she said yep it was fun. So thank god the skeeters didn't run her away.

This was a one stager. Now I think it was only by chance that I found this one today.

Here we are in the thick of it all..

I think we are on to something here..

Yep..

I found it..

Crypto

This is the second one we did in the same woods done by the same people.
This one is a 2 stage. Now it seemed with this one that we just got into it thicker, and the skeeters were even more hunger.. good gravy. You know though once you find the cache it's all worth it :)

Roberta trying like hell to sheild herself from the camera and the skeeters..LOL

At least there is trails to follow..

Paige found the 1st Stage!!

And we found it!!

Merry Waters

Nice park to throw a ball for the dog :)
I don't know why it took me so long to do this one considering it's
right down the road.
Small park and out of the way, but worth it. They did this cache the sly
way. I loved it when people use something different :)
Then of course we had to play in the park :)

Paige having to pose for the pictures.. :)

Totsue wanting to go and find the cache..

Hehe.. I found it.

Of course we had to check out the teeter totter..
