Morning Comes Early When There's No Snooze Button

Down the pine trail again we go. This trail goes through many towns, so I can imagine all the caches on it. I think this is only my third one on this trail.

At least this one we didn't slide down the bank or get our feet wet. I know what fun is it if we don't ..lol

Very easy find! I have a feeling I'll be seeing this trail again in the near future.

PB-2 Cindy's Ice Cream

Easy as pie getting this cache today. It had a lock on it, which of course you had to get the combination from the geo place. To bad though Cindy's wasn't open cause me and Paige wanted a twist...

131 Times Two

This cache was at a carpool. We pull in and we notice a older lady sitting in her van. We get out and she is watching us. So we have to wander around a bit until she finally leaves.

I often wonder what these people think when they see people get out of their cars and go into the woods or bushes...lol. Specially at a carpool. I mean its not like its a nature trail area or theres a bench to sit on and watch traffic. So there is really no excuse to be wandering around. Unless your a weirdo and do that sorta of thing or of course your GEOCACHING... :)

Owlfoot's Nest

On my way to get my tooth pulled in White Cloud I HAD to do a couple geocaches..lol

This one was pretty simple. What's so cute about it is that there was little faces pressed against the glass across the street watching us. It must either be the owners of the cache or they at least know what we are doing. Me and my daughter waved at them.. to cute!

PB-2 Rest Area

Now as you know I love doing Photobugs caches as I have mentioned before. So we thought we would take the highway home after doing Winfield Lake cache, so we could pick this one up.
I don't know where the hell my head is sometimes. Now when you read the logs on this cache everyone gets stuck on stage 3. Noooo I get stuck on stage 1. Let me show you what we had to do: (taken from the cache information)

Cords will take you to a Memorial Plaque
To get the cords for stage two you will need the birth year and the year of death of the individual on the plaque.
N43*27.NNN ( NNN = year of birth -1455 )
W085*28.WWW ( WWW = year of death -1447 )

Ok that seems pretty simple enough. Well we must have had to do more to the numbers or something cause it just wasn't right. So thank god, once again Photobug let us call him and get a hint.

So after that we went straight to the other stages without a hitch. Yes stage 3 did take us a bit to find. But no need to call on that one.

Now normally I take lots of pictures, but I was so weirded out about stage 1 that I just didn't take many. So I'll just show you that we did find the cache.

Winfield Lake Cache

What a nice day to go out Geocaching. Tracys mom took us out for breakfast and we took her geoing.
This one is located in Howard City. Another park found that we didn't know about. Of course since we live fairly close to this one I'll have to take the kids swimming here while Tracy and I go fishing. I like the smaller parks like this one cause you know its not going to be over populated in the summer. Maybe just us redneck hillbillys..lol
The cache was extremely easy to find considering it was laying on the ground and not hidden at all. Which sucks, cause I love a good hunt. But I re-hid it where I'm sure it was suppose to be.
Then we walked around a bit. Seen a swan and scoped out the swimming area to see if it was icky..lol

FOUND IT..

PB-2 Hardy Pond View

Nice hike with this one. It's a 3 stager and the first stage about scared the hell out of Fawyn.

There were alot of mounds on this trail. I don't know exactly what they were but they were probably ant hills or something to that fact. I didn't take no pictures of them, but that's one thing we talked about on this one. We discussed what they might be and I told Fawyn that their probably dead geocachers that didn't find the final stage..lol. I know I'm awful, but it's fun!!

Here is a couple pictures of the view that we had>>

It don't look like it, but that shore down there was WAY DOWN THERE!!

That's a whole lot of water!

Second Stage>>

FINAL STAGE!

PB-2 Trail Trek

This cache is one of those that there is a little hide away waiting for you. It was a perfect spot to just sit and relax. Maybe read a book or just get lost in thought.

PB-2 River Walk

This is a 10 stage cache. Now don't ask me what ever made me ask Tracy to do this one today. Usually we get family memebers together to do a big one like this.
We did it anyways and found every single one. I only had to call the owners on Stage 4. Thank goodness cause we would have never have found it.

Now you know I love showing pictures, but I'm not going to on Stage 9 cause that really has to be found by true geocachers. It's amazing and I hate to give it away here. Lets just say it scared the hell out of Tracy and she had me going to on it.

You know what really had me going for awhile, was the lack of nature. Usually we see all kinds of critters when we do geo's out in the woods. It wasn't until the last 2 stages that we heard or seen anything. And of course being jolted from stage 9, we heard everything in the woods then..lol

This was truelly an amazing geo adventure. I really look forward to doing Photo bugs hides again!!
----------------------
I'm going to skip over stage 1 also..

HERE IS US GOING IN>>>

SOME PICTURES OF THE MUSKEGON RIVER..

STAGE 2..

STAGE 3..

STAGE 4.. which we got stuck on for about a hour. "Tool" got us stumped. We were
to use that arrow as a tool.. ya well we didn't have a clue. We had to call at this point in the game.

STAGE 5..

STAGE 6.. (and a rest for me)

STAGE 7..

STAGE 8..(and a weird tree)

STAGE 9..(sorry can't show pictures for this stage)

FINAL STAGE 'THE CACHE'..

It's Posted

This is the second one we worked on while in Farmington Hills.
Now I will never understand why I park the car at places I do. Of course you don't relize till after

the cache is done that you could have parked way closer.. good gravy!

This microcache is hidden in a small park at the corner of Eleven Mile and Middlebelt.

Yes is was small and on the corner just like they said, that's why I couldn't figure out where to park.

Of course the obvious answer was across the street..lol

The creek that runs through this park was pretty cool. I know I'm very easy to amuse at times. But it was the first running water I seen after winter. :)

It was a easy find and a clever place to hide it!

M Cubed Museum

We did these next two geos in Farmington Hills. This cache was amazing to the eyes.
It's a virtual cache, which means there is no box of goodies at the end to find. We had clues that was had to find in this building, get the answers, then email them to the owner of the cache.

It took all I had in me not to spend lots of money in this place!! But money couldn't buy the sites that I seen in this place.
I know I'm not being to detailed on what I saw, only cause it is a virtual cache and seeing things in there and saying what they are would give it away to the next cacher that might read this post.

I will say though that its a place full of old games and circus things. And they work!! You can
actually play with everything in there.
After doing this cache, we seen on t.v. later that night a documentary on it. We was like OMG we was just there today. So that shows you how important and amazing this place really is.
I'm pretty sure half of the people that live in Farmington Hills has been there, but me being a out of towner that has never been there this was amazing to see.

I do have a couple pictures of the place. You'll have to click on the picture to probably see it better. The two answers that are needed in this cache are not pictured below, sorry! Have to play fair here!!

Trail To Eagle-Citizenship In The Nation

The second one we did in Madison Heights while visiting here.
Apparently the person that made this geo has several other ones sorta related
to each other. Here is a few words taken from the cache page.

Second in a series of 12 caches representing the required Merit Badges that a boy must earn on his way to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Eagle Scout is the highest rank that a youth can earn in the Scouting program. When all 12 caches have been placed we will have a permanent Travel Bug that you can discover to complete your Eagle Project.
By the time a boy earns the Citizenship In The Nation merit badge he is knowledgeable about:
*Declaration of Independence
*Preamble to the Constitution
*The ConstitutionBill of Rights
*Amendments to the Constitution
*His elected representatives (Congressman, Senator, etc.)
*The branches of the Federal Government and their functions
*What it means to be a good citizen

Initial cache contents are various items that could be associated with patriotism.
Pretty cool huh? I really like when caches have a meaning behind them.

I really didn't take to many pictures of this one, but we did find it!!

Shooting Star

Well I happen to be visiting Madison Heights in Detroit and thought I would do a couple geocaches while the great weather prevailed.

This cache was a tricky one. I looked in the obvious spots and was even on my hands and knees digging

around a bit. Well it just wasn't there. So I stepped back and looked and put my geo thinking cap on. Then it dawned on me. Once I started looking standing up I found it!! I do love these ones. I did another one similiar to this one before.

Well I signed the log book and put a micro sig card in it and patted my back that I found it and headed out to do another one in the area.
