Huckleberry's Hideout

I saved this geocache for Bob to do when he got home. So we finally got out today to attempt it. We came up to the location and WOW... It's this huge tree that you had to climb to get to the cache. Which I knew that you had to, but I didn't know how big this tree was.
Bob did a couple steps and you could tell he was wondering if it was wise to do. Only cause there was snow on the tree. The rungs were a bit slippery. But knowing Bob the way I do, he wasn't going to give up.
So me and Fawyn encouraged him all the way up.

On our way..

He finally got to the cache..

Always striking poses...lol

Highland Park

Tried this one back in July and couldn't find it. Second time is a charm.
My kid walked right past it thinking it was in the log laying there. I was watching her and said, Fawyn you walked right by it. I wonder what the history is on the brick wall that is there. I know this park is not a very good one to just hang out in. My husband had a friend that was killed in this park. The area the cache is in is pretty though and worth the second trip to find it.

They never wait for me!

The July heat getting to them..

Awesome combination of fall and winter mixed..

Found it..

Bob checking out the fungus on the tree wondering if it will hold him as a seat..

I found this hanging out on a tree.. awesome little fungus pile..

Me and Fawyn striking a pose..

Cross-Eyed

Tried this one last fall and couldn't find it. Then the Ann street construction started and there was no way of getting to it. So now that the construction is done we decided to go attempt it again. Found it.. woohoo
I really didn't care for incline of the hill we had to go down to get the cache though. Only cause the Grand River is sitting there waiting for swimmers..lol

First Stage.
